Well school is almost over already; judging from my last entry I'm not entirely surprised that this semester went by in a flash. Unfortunately Track and Field goes along with the end of school.

Nearing the end of my track season I'd have to say that I can't complain that much about it because I never sustained an injury *hurray*. On the other hand, since I kept myself safe from injuring myself, I really didn't work out as much as I could have...but then again I know my body is still maturing unlike almost everybody else on the team. I'm still the skinniest and non-bulky no matter how hard I try which is why I'm red-shirting next year. The idea of red-shirting is that I'm still affiliated with the team except I don't travel or participate with meets that don't allow unattached athletes. I'm still able to practice but I just can't go "everywhere" like I am now. The hopes is that within 2 years I'll be built and coordinated as I'm supposed to be, its hard being 6'7". I'm very close to performing the proper "graceful" motions of the triple jump but I'm just not coordinated enough with my arms+legs...just grew too quickly. My PR (personal record) in the triple jump is now 47'9". My Long Jump, which I haven't practiced for awhile, has improved by a whole foot and my form is near perfect...o well ha ha (21'10"). I almost had farther at the track meet but I extended and locked my knees so I fell back in the sand instead of rolling over my ankles.

School has been rather a drag though. Human Anatomy is quite the challenge and the stuff we are being taught in that class is 85% stuff that I don't believe I want to do in the future. I do want to be a massage therapist and I do need to know all the muscles, bones, and bumps in the body but I really can't wrap my head around the need to learn what hormone goes where and why. I'm passing, which is good but there is a lot of knowledge that I know I'll mindlessly forget in a month. As school nears final exams, I have a 10 page paper due along with my last English 130 class paper that hasn't been introduced yet and I also have a presentation to do in my lab portion of my anatomy class...fun fun. Fortunately I do really well on big projects like presentations; not so well on 10 page essays but I'll pass.

I really can’t wait for school to be over although I’ll miss the freedom of living in an apartment with my friends. I haven't started making plans but I probably should since it's only 4 weeks away from this post. I'm also not sure if I want to start working at my summer job straight away even though I do need the money.
