Now that fall semester is already half over my view of the future is quite cluttered. Finals are coming up, class projects are coming around, and so are holiday breaks. I'll pull through but I can't say I'll like it.

Track is going pretty well as far as strength and learning High Jump. My conditioning is pretty crummy but that's really because I focused on strength stuff on my pre-preseason track schedule.

Life has been pretty slow other than that. I was unfortunately dropped out of one of my classes early in the semester due to "seniority". In light of that event and budget cuts I was forced to take an internship class in order to fill that empty time-slot and to gain that 12 credit requirement per semester for athletic participation. Searching for an internship took longer than it should have due to businesses not returning my calls and just straight up rejection. I did finally find the place I'm going to intern at but I needed to buy some "professional" clothing on the internet because malls don't sell pants 36'/40'; that took more than a week. I later found out I needed to pass a tuberculosis test which I would have gotten done right when I found out but I came down with the common cold the day before my appointment.

On the flip side I have a fair amount of extra time on my hands due to one less class to work with. As nice as it sounds to have that extra 3 hours or so not devoted to another class, there is nothing for me to really do since my roommates and other friends have class and obligations that apparently keep me out of the loop. So in the end I've been spending a lot of my time reading up on upcoming games and providing kindly faq and amateur tech support to videogame forums that I visit two-three times a day. It is really nice to have that spare time but geez things get boring really fast when nothing is stopping you from spending infinite hours on them.

(Since Halloween is coming around, I'll see if I can't remember to take pictures as to what exactly my friends and I do in preparation for the occasion.)
